HICA at Home in Hull have been busy creating gift bags for all their dedicated home carers to say thank you for their hard work during this difficult time.
Staff from the head office of HICA at Home Hull made gift bags for every care worker filled with items that had been donated by local companies which staff then hand delivered to all their many home carers during their own time.
Alongside all domiciliary care teams around the country HICA at Home have worked through some very challenging and difficult times in the past few months and the office team wanted to show their appreciation to their staff by creating these gift bags. The quote they put on the bags says it all – “you are amazing and don’t forget that!”
Acting Manager Steph Simpkin said “As a thank you to our care workers – our office team decided to create gift bags for every Care Worker who has supported and worked through the pandemic as a token of our appreciation. Our office team have been out delivering them to you all. The office have named the Care Workers the ‘HICA Hero’s’ and as the term states they have been heroes who have worked through this pandemic and have continued to provide a high quality and safe service to all Service Users. Massive thank you to everyone!!”
There were a wide variety of items included in the gift bag such as pens, hand cream, moisturising masks, lip balm, hand sanitiser and various snacks, among the companies that donated are Asda, Tiger Leisure and Grimsby homecare. All the bags also contained a scratch card and a strip of raffle tickets. The ladies in the office have created 4 hampers for 1st, 2nd ,3rd and 4th prize and every carer who received a gift bag is in with a chance of winning these amazing hampers. The raffle will be drawn by our CEO Terry Peel once all the carers have received their bags and the winning raffle tickets will be announced to the carers.
Steph added “A massive thank you also goes to Asda, Tiger Leisure, Grimsby Homecare and everyone else whose generous donations contributed to the gift bags. It is amazing how everybody has come together to support each other through these recent times. The gift bags have really put a smile on everyone’s faces”
