The refurbishments have included the creation of the Tranby and Hessle Suites. The Tranby community at The Hollies is a unique development dedicated to the care of women who are living with dementia. Our focus centres around enhancing the lives of residents by providing compassionate care, personal care and support and recreation within a residential setting. The Hessle Suite is an exclusive range of eight luxury studio apartments, each featuring a spacious living area, fully equipped en-suite wetroom, and most with a snack and drink preparation area with a refrigerator included, with as much or as little care and support on hand as required.
The refurbishments also included a Memory Café in the Tranby Suite and a new look Hair Salon, alongside a new family room and a new reception area.
Prior to cutting the ribbon to officially open the new refurbishments Carole gave a warm speech extolling the virtues of the new look Hollies.
“I am delighted to be here today to open the newly refurbished Tranby and Hessle wings here at the Hollies.
The Hollies is a long established and important part of the HICA family and whilst we celebrate its past achievements it is to the future we look today.
The development represents an exciting opportunity for the Hollies and for all of us in HICA.
With the assistance of our dedicated staff we will continue to deliver the high standards of care that we always have and the refurbishment is the first example of the new style of living environment that we intend to offer our clients.
The new bright and spacious en-suite bedrooms, the garden access and optional female only wing is an example of our intentions to ensure that HICA will meet or exceed the expectations of our clients
On behalf of the board I wish to commend the dedication, vision and commitment of our Chief exec, Terry and his team and their partners on delivering such an outstanding result.
The Tranby and Hessle Suites will serve as the blueprint for the future of HICA Care Homes
It is my great honour to formally open this development.”
After the ribbon was cut, those in attendance were given a tour of the new look home by the CEO Terry Peel and Registered Manager Lauren Knight.
