Residents at 5 of the HICA Group care homes are looking forward to organising some outings after the group invested in 4 brand new minibuses. The new vehicles will be used by Elm Tree Court in East Hull. The Wolds Care Centre in Louth, Cranwell Court in Grimsby with the fourth being shared by learning disability homes Sunningdale Court in Scunthorpe and The Birches in Brigg.
Director of Operations Heather Joy said, “HICA Care Home residents were, like most of the country, unable to enjoy trips out due to covid regulations. However, with the easing of regulations we are delighted to be able to supply these new vehicles to ensure our residents can start to get out and about like everybody else and enjoy all that their area has to offer.”
Ms Joy added, “And of course, we have strict measures in place to guarantee that each time the buses are used all precautions have been taken, ensuring the safety of the passengers and the peace of mind of family members.”
The buses will be delivered shortly and excited residents are already planning the trips they would like to go on.
This investment is just the latest in a series of investments made by the HICA Group to help make a positive difference to the lives of the people they support.
