At a time of year enjoyed by many, our learning disability homes have been coming up with some wonderfully creative ways to have a Spooktacular Halloween. With many themed arts and crafts sessions including making monster drawings using handprints and some wonderfully decorated spooky rooms, residents across our homes have been having a great time.
At Isaac Robinson Court residents had fun participating in a Shimmy Shake & Shine session with a wonderfully spooky twist. Shimmy shake and shine is an exercise class run by staff members within our homes who have had specialist training to enable them to provide bespoke fitness and wellbeing classes. The ‘Shimmy, Shake, Scary, Shine Spooktacular’ proved very popular with residents.
They also held a Halloween movie night, with a spooky movie and some atmospheric lights. Meanwhile residents at Kirkgate House have been busy with Halloween themed crafts creating pumpkin decorations using paper plates and spooky drawings for the windows! They also had a wonderful time with pumpkin carving!
Witch-ing you a Happy Halloween!
