Last week the 12th May was international Nurses Day. Across our homes residents and staff were busy with activities to raise awareness and show appreciation of the amazing jobs that nurses do across the world.
Activities included fancy dress, crafts and gardening. Many Thank You cards where written by residents to be sent out to the Nurses at local GPs and Hospitals.
On International Nurses Day, staff from The Grange at Buckshaw Retirement village had a walk around to their neighbours at The Lodge and delivered a card written by residents to say thank you for all their hard work, and to express their gratitude to all their nurses for the hard work and dedication every year but especially over the past 12 months.
“We are proud to support International Nurses Day and show our appreciation of the great job our nurses do. We want to help celebrate this hard working and incredible profession and show our thanks to every single HICA nurse.” – Operational Manager Heather Joy
