We are seeking an imaginative, energetic and proactive person to join our team at The Wolds Care Centre, as Activities Coordinator!
Pay & Hours:
- Rate of pay: £10.50 per hour
- Contracted hours: 21 hours per week
- Shifts Pattern – Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend).
The Role:
Working in collaboration with other Activity Coordinators from across HICA’s services, the successful candidate will plan, organise and deliver weekly programmes to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
With support and involvement from our team of Support Workers, you will strive to meet the individual and collective social needs of our service users in line with HICA’s core values, either within the home or out in the community. We proudly promote seasonal events and occasions such as Christmas, New Year, Easter and Halloween so applicants should have a creative flair with the ability to think outside the box!
About you:
- · Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities would be advantageous
- · Knowledge or previous experience of planning and implementing activities or events
- · Excellent knowledge of customer care and confidentiality
- · The ability to work unsupervised and use of own initiative
- · Able to work within a budget, keeping accurate and detailed records

About us:
The Wolds Care Centre is a 66 bed Care Home situated on North Holme Road in Louth. The home provides a home for life within its specialist dementia, nursing and residential care communities. All bedrooms are spacious, boasting their own en-suite with wet room and each room is furnished to a high standard. Residents and their families are invited to personalise their rooms, creating their own unique environment, reflecting the individuality of the occupier.
The HICA Group are a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community.
