At Raleigh Court residents been having a great time creating Oomphs ‘No sew sock bunnies’. The bunnies are great fun and an easy project to make. Our homes can download instruction sheets to make them amongst many other things from Oomph as the HICA Group has teamed up with the Oomph! On Demand service. Across HICA homes residents have been having a wonderful time taking part in the printable quizzes and activities, reading newsletters and watching many videos that are part of the Oomph! On Demand service.
At The HICA Group we have teamed up with Oomph! On Demand to enhance our activity provision across all 17 of our care homes and to help inspire our dedicated activity teams.
The digital platform incorporates a multitude of interactive activities including video content on a wide range of topics especially chosen for care home residents. These include virtual exercise classes for people of all abilities alongside a wealth of resources and training for staff, all of which are constantly added to and updated.
The platform can be accessed through smart televisions, tablets and interactive tables in the homes for group activities. Residents will also be able to access the content on their own devices or the home’s devices at a time that suits them.
