We are proud to say one of our staff members will be running to raise money for the HICA Shine Fund!
Mathew Bain a member of HICA’s Senior Project Team will be running the Lakeland 50 in July
The Lakeland 50 is a very difficult long distance trail that Mathew is aiming to complete in under 15 hours!
You can find Mathews Just Giving page here; https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mathew-bain-2?utm_id=1&utm_term=yeYjGJ4vQ
The Lakeland 50 – The route starts from the Northern end of Ullswater within the grand Dalemain Estate before following the Eastern shore line as far as Howtown. A quick climb and descent followed by a trek along the banks of Haweswater sees you at Mardale Head. The route from here visits Long Sleddale, Kentmere, Ambleside, Langdale and Tilberthwaite before the final climb and descent to the finish at Coniston.
The HICA Shine fund is used to enrich the lives of Service users
SHINE is HICA’s aspirational philosophy that underpins our organisational commitment to continuous improvement and a personal pledge to ‘make a difference’. Shine is a symbol of innovation, involvement and improvement that underpins everything we do. Shine encourages everyone to get involved and embrace our collective responsibility, making life better for every person receiving a service from, or connected with the HICA Group.
Terry CEO of the HICA Group says – “It only takes one person to make a difference. As CEO of The HICA Group I fully support our Shine initiative which demonstrates HICA’s pledge to ‘make a difference’ and to emphasise our belief that while we are all part of a team, we are also individuals who can step forward and support one another. Each one of us can be that person who through kind words or actions can make a difference to someone’s life. I truly believe that our teams have what it takes to make a difference to everyone we support.”
