The Hollies Care Centre was buzzing with excitement as they welcomed Hessle’s Town Mayor, John Bovill, along with his wife Diane who is the Mayor’s Consort, for the official opening of their much-awaited Garden Party. The event marked a celebration of recent renovations at the home, bringing new and luxurious accommodation for the residents. Among these upgrades were the magnificent Hessle Suite, comprising eight deluxe residential studio apartments, and the introduction of the Tranby Suite, a female-only community. The enhancements also included a welcoming reception area and a cozy seating area, designed to be a comfortable and welcoming area for residents and their families to socialise. To complete the room, a bistro area was set up to provide refreshments.
After a short speech, the Mayor and his Consort, were taken on an enlightening tour of the revamped facilities by the Registered Manager Lauren Knight, highlighting the attention to detail and dedication put into the project. Impressed with the quality of the accommodation and the range of services available, the Mayor and his Consort praised The Hollies Care Centre for its dedication to the residents’ well-being.
After the tour, the Mayor and his Consort joined the other attendees in indulging in delicious refreshments that included treats from an ice cream van and delectable meals prepared by HICA’s catering partner, apetito. The mobile kitchen from apetito allowed the attendees to sample the same scrumptious and nutritious food enjoyed daily in HICA’s homes.
As they enjoyed his refreshments, all other attendees had the opportunity to explore the transformed care centre, taking in the beauty of the upgraded spaces.
The resident were further delighted to be joined by some of the children from the next door Hessle Pre-School Nursery.
