Activities Coordinator – Albemarle

Pay & Hours:

• Rate of Pay: £10.50 per hour
• Hours of Work: 30 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: – Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (some flexibility may be required depending on events)

The role:

As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will organise and plan weekly activities tailored to meet the individual needs of our service users promoting independence and making each day as fulfilling as possible. Examples could include seasonal activities such as paint an Easter egg, design a Christmas card, arts and crafts, music & movement, gardening and attractions outside of the home in the local community.

About you:

• Previous experience working with individuals with vulnerable adults with Dementia would be advantageous
• Previous experience planning and implementing activities or events
• Excellent knowledge of Customer Care
• Ability to keep accurate and detailed records
• Able to work unsupervised and to use your own initiative
• Excellent knowledge of confidentiality and its meaning
• Can work within a budget

Albemarle is a specialist dementia home for 42 residents situated in the popular East Yorkshire market town of Hedon. We have three lounges for relaxing, entertaining and socialising. We also have three different areas of enclosed garden; one area having a greenhouse and vegetable planters that service users enjoy.

HICA Group are a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community.
