Administrator (Care Home) – Elm Tree Court

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the team at Elm Tree Court, our residential home situated on Preston Road in Hull. The home caters for 72 residents and specialises in dementia care and support. Our support teams care for people with a dementia and our focus is on person-centred care.

This is a 32 hour per week position working on a 2 week rolling rota including every other weekend between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30. Days of week to be discussed at interview.

As a Home Administrator, you will be responsible for answering the telephone, logging, and passing on messages when required in timely manner. You will administer staff recruitment, payroll and documentation. You will deal with queries relating to staffing matters for the home in accordance with HICA policies and procedures. Ensure records for the home on the computerised management information system are maintained accurately maintaining confidentiality in line with HICA policies and procedures. You will be responsible for the administration of resident’s monies ensuring accountability Report any safeguarding or poor practice concerns to your line manager immediately without delay.

We are looking for someone who has had previous experience working in an Administrative role. Previous experience working in a Care setting is advantageous. You will have a Level 2 Diploma in Administration or an equivalent qualification. You will have the ability to prioritise workload and be flexible in the workplace. A good knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages and experience in cash handling.
