Care Support Worker (Days & Nights) – Prospect House

Situated in Goole, Prospect House has created a warm, welcoming home for adults with learning disabilities. The home has established two self-contained flats alongside our residential rooms. We offer 4 individual residential communities which enable us to coordinate staff groups to provide personalised support and continuity of care. Through this people can build relationships with the team members and benefit from dedicated support and encouragement.

We are seeking Support Workers to meet increased occupancy and workload to either work 36 hours per week on Nights on 12 hour shifts working from 7pm to 7am. Or we have positions for Days working 24 or 36 12 hours shifts working from 7am to 7pm.

Flexibility is required as the role covers Monday to Sunday and a rota will apply.

As a Support Worker, you will assist with the personal care of our Service User’s such as bathing, dressing, toileting, support with their prescribed medication and meal preparation in accordance with their induvial care plan. You will keep Service User’s care plans and records up to date and factual and report any factors that may present a risk in the deterioration and functioning of the Service User.

Previous experience working within the Care sector is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. Knowledge and understanding of people with different levels of learning disabilities would be beneficial. You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with Service User’s and other professionals.
