Housekeeper – Tamarix Lodge

The HICA Group has a new opportunity for dedicated and focused individual to join our housekeeping team at Tamarix Lodge based in Withernsea!

Pay & Hours:

• Rate of pay: 10.50 per hour
• Contracted hours: 14 hours per week
• Shift pattern: Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend).

The Role:

As a Housekeeper, you will ensure the cleanliness of the home is to the highest standard, ordering and storing of cleaning products and taking responsibility to minimise the risk of infection within the home. You will promote and encourage service user’s privacy and personal space and keep records up to date and factual.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

• Working towards or holds a relevant NVQ in Basic Food Hygiene and an NVQ or relevant in Cleaning.
• Previous experience of Domestic work.
• Able to interact with residents professionally and respectfully
• Able to organise and manage workload and prioritise duties.

About Us:

Situated in the popular seaside resort of Withernsea, Tamarix Lodge is a 35 bed care home, 29 of which are on the ground floor. We mainly offer physical care and support to older people and to people living with dementia. We are located close to local amenities, the beach & shops are within easy walking distance.

Tamarix Lodge has hairdressing facilities, a designated activity lounge and secure enclosed rear gardens for relaxing and enjoying the sea air. This also enables residents to join in with gardening activities if they wish to do so.
