IT Support Assistant – Head Office

The HICA Group are looking for an experienced IT Support Assistant to join our friendly team!

HICA’s head office is based at a picturesque Business Park in Hessle, located close to The Humber Bridge.

The HICA Group do NOT provide sponsorships to Non-UK Nationals.

Pay & Hours:

  • £24,000 per annum rising to £25,000 upon completion of a successful probation period
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • April’s pay award is pending – new rates will be announced very soon!

The Role:

The post holder will provide IT support for hardware and software used across the HICA Group, ensuring systems are maintained and supported to the highest standards.

The post holder will be required to provide first level technical support and will support the resolution of IT support calls in a timely and efficient manner, performing installations, configurations, relocations and decommissioning of computer hardware and software; fault-finding and rectifying problems; tracking the progress of IT support calls and promoting good practice in the use of hardware, software and information governance. The post holder will also maintain reporting logs and maintain the IT asset register, and provide system reports to senior managers.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have experience of the following –

  • Good general level of education with a minimum of GCSE Maths and English
  • Educated to NVQ level 3 in IT related subject or equivalent gained through specific relevant experience
  • Microsoft Office and Internet applications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing/verbally using appropriate language for the audience
  • Car driver

A Microsoft MCP qualification is desirable but not essential.
