Management Accountant – Hesslewood

A new opportunity has become available for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our expanding team in the position of Management Accountant.

HICA is a preferred provider in the social care sector and growing rapidly. To support our expansion, we are now looking to add to our established team of accountants to maintain the delivery of our services.

The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Pay & Hours:

  • Salary – £35,000 – £37,000 – Depending on experience.
  • Hours – 40 hours a week
  • Hybrid working and flexible hours available.

The Role:

Based primarily at our Head Office within the grounds of Hesslewood County Office Park, this is a hybrid role as it will also allow for home working.

Reporting into the Finance controller, you will support in the preparation of the accounts supplied from across our group of care homes and homecare offices:

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Produce management accounts & service charge accounts, compare against budgets & and analyse trends in a timely manner.
  • Produce balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Liaise with all levels of management to produce commentary for monthly management accounts and attend review meetings.
  • Support with annual budget setting.
  • Provide information to auditors.·

Skills/Experience;

  • Part/fully qualified accountant with at least 2 years’ experience
  • Previous experience working as a management accountant.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using finance systems/software such as Pegasus Opera.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Highly computer literate in Microsoft Excel is an essential part of the role.
