Please note that the role is in Louth, Lincolnshire. Candidates must be willing to travel.

What we offer:

  • Salary: £37,771.90 per annum – (£20.09 per hour)
  • Hours: 36 hours per week on days (7.30am – 19.30pm)
  • Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts on a rota covering 7 days per week, plus handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, including medication management, wound care, and specialized care.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Assess resident needs and provide support and guidance.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Participate in daily handover meetings and safety huddles.

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse with a valid NMC license.
  • Experience in a care setting, preferably in dementia care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About The Wolds Care Centre:

The Wolds Care Centre boasts platinum accreditation from the Gold Standards Framework for nursing and offers a range of training, including specialised end of life care.

Supported by our Registered Manager, you will work collaboratively with Team Leaders and the care team to run your shift.

The Wolds Care Centre is a 66 bed Care Home situated on North Holme Road in Louth. The home provides a home for life within its specialist dementia, nursing and residential care communities. All bedrooms are spacious, boasting their own en-suite with wet room and each room is furnished to a high standard. Residents and their families are invited to personalise their rooms, creating their own unique environment, reflecting the individuality of the occupier.

The Centre has been designed around a Community Hub. The home has the luxury of a café, garden room, shop, cinema, activity room, a multi activities room, library with WI-FI and internet access, and a sensory room. Residents can also enjoy the use of the on-site hair & beauty salon, where not only can they get their hair styled but also make use of the pedicure and reflexology services available. A multi-faith room is also provided which is used for regular services. A dedicated Activity Coordinator arranges for meaningful and engaging activities to be available daily, for everyone.

Training & Development:

Upon joining, you’ll embark on a journey through our bespoke Nursing Development Portfolio, which includes a blend of training, coaching, and competencies. You’ll also have access to online courses certified by Health Education England and full training on our electronic medication and care planning systems.

Our nursing team enjoys opportunities for external training accredited through universities, helping towards CPD and revalidation. Courses include advanced clinical skills, wound care, NEWS 2, palliative care, and end of life care. Mentorship training programs are also available for those interested in coaching new nurses.

A Day in the Life:

You’ll spend your time on one community, getting to know your residents and their individual needs. Working with a “buddy,” you’ll complete all internal training and grow your confidence to operate with autonomy. You’ll be part of an MDT approach, liaising with health professionals such as GPs and dieticians, assessing care plans, and reviewing medication.

Our nurses play a pivotal role in supporting residents and their families, working collaboratively with care and support roles across the service, external third parties, and families to meet residents’ holistic needs. From PEG feeds, catheter care, syringe drivers, wound management, observations, to complex behaviour management and creating positive behaviour support plans, nursing at Raleigh Court is an all-inclusive role.
