HICA at Home – Hull and East Riding currently deliver approximately 2000 hours of care each week to adults in the community in need of Care and Support services.
We are recruiting for a Senior Care Worker to join our Homecare team who will monitor and contribute towards the delivery of care and support, as well as providing mentoring, supervisions and competence checks on our care workforce.
You will respond to emergency call outs through the evening and you will be community based. You will assist with all aspects of personal care, which will include promoting independence and maintaining existing skills, encouraging decision making and signposting to appropriate community links. Maintain relationships with Service Users and family to ensure satisfaction with the service of quality delivery to the highest standard.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working within the care sector, the ability to lead and motivate and supervise staff, strong planning and organisational skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.
Flexibility is required in relation to your working hours which cover 07:00 – 22:00 over 3 days. You will also complete one half day each week either an early shift of 07:00 to 14:00 or a late shift 16:00 - 22:00 which alternates.
Due to the nature of the role, you must have a driving license and have access to your own vehicle.
