Senior Payroll Administrator – Head Office

We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team to coordinate payroll and administer month and year end processes. You will also manage both weekly and monthly payrolls from our Head Office in Hull City Centre.

Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing, overseeing and reviewing payrolls for circa 1500 colleagues
• Preparing payroll reports including pension reports using Excel and the payroll system
• Dealing with payroll queries raised and making sure that they are actioned speedily
• Providing technical assistance and mentoring to other Payroll team members
• Dealing with year-end routines including P11Ds
• Submitting pension information and preparing monthly attachment of earning payments
• Setting up of payrolls for new colleagues
• Pro-active management of overpayments made

Key knowledge / skills / attributes:
• Experience of leading a small team and managing payroll processes across multiple sites and payrolls
• Ability to build relationships with key colleagues in the business
• A strong attention to detail
• Exceptional organisational skills
• An ability to work flexibly and be proactive
• Highly computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel. An understanding of V Look Ups and Pivot Tables is essential
• Experience in Opera software
