Support Workers – The Birches (Days)

The HICA Group are recruiting two Care Workers to join our friendly and experienced team at The Birches. Located within a village setting, and based on our beautiful grounds with five communal gardens, the support team at The Birches work to provide personalised services to the highest standard and meet the individual needs of all our residents with a broad range of learning difficulties.

Rate of pay: £9.16 per hour
Hours available: 24-36 hours per week, plus additional opportunities for overtime

As a care worker at The Birches, you will assist all aspects of our resident’s personal care such as dressing, bathing, medication support and meal preparation in accordance with their individual care plans. Additionally, you will help keep all documentation and records up to date and factual, as well as supporting with activities, life skills and social interaction, such as day trips or events.

This role covers Monday to Sunday, and we offer flexibility of shift patterns, as the successful applicants will be required to work alternate weekends. Candidates should have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with our residents, your colleagues and other medical or social care professionals.

Previous experience in the care sector is desirable but not essential as full training and an induction programme is provided.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and provide evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination status.
